All projects below were made with SolidWorks and self-taught with video tutorials.
This was my first and quite ambitious project, creating a model VR6 engine. The difficulty of this project is what makes the VR6 engine unique, as its cylinder bores are offset 15 degrees from the engine block; one of the only engines in the world to do so. Each part (engine block, oil pan, crankshaft, piston head, connecting rod, and connecting pin) had to be created separately, while ensuring a correct and tight fit. Certain parts, such as the connecting rod, had to be redesigned to accommodate the tolerances of PLA. Instead of using an end bearing, a snap-to-fit design was employed.
My second project was to make a toy airplane with the constraint of finishing it within one weekend.
